Stars may not matter as much in college, where scheme can cover over some issues, but once you get to the NFL, those stars matter. It's not 100% perfect indicator, but it's one of the strongest correlations that exists.

The amount of talent is ridiculous.... Currently the Big 10 is carried by Ohio State, Big 12 Oklahoma and ACC Clemson. The PAC is a wash.

The amount of diversity of national champions from the SEC make everyone else fight for 2nd.

It could totally be argued that the SEC is carried by Alabama. Granted, LSU and Auburn carry it some years. Georgia's trying to get to that level. But 9/10, it's Alabama. Could it be that the Early Signing Period is cutting down on parity across the nation?
