SEC Week 1 Schedule

MissSt @ LSU - LSU
Tennessee @ SCar - SCar with a mild upset which actually ruins the Vols hopes for a decent season before it even begins
Vandy @ A&M - A&M big. Vandy has a number of players opting out from a team that could go winless at full strength.

hubby not going to be fun to be around after UGA destroys Arky.

He's got to be used to it by now, though.

I do think Pittman was a great hire for them and I even stated that I think he has the potential to take the Razorbacks back to the success level they had under Broyles, Holtz, and Hatfield.

Pittman may not have HC experience, but he's one of the best recruiters in CFB. He's been around the game long enough that he knows how to connect well with the players. From the hires he made to fill out his staff, he has quickly shown that he knows how to surround himself with very talented people.

You probably know more about the SEC than I do but here are my thoughts:

Bama at Missouri - Bama big

Georgia at Arkansas - I like the new staff at Arkansas but still a rebuild. UGA big

Kentucky at Auburn - I like this as a potential upset as well. UK gets Wilson back and they have been quietly improving. That said, Auburn is still the more talented team and at home (Whatever that ends up meaning)

Florida at Ole Miss - Not sure Ole Miss has the team to do it. Especially with a brand new staff that didn't get a regular off season to prepare.

Miss State at LSU - Same rationale as Ole Miss but probably even tougher given how unique Leach's system is.

Tennessee at South Carolina - True tossup game in my mind. If Gamecock can get consistent QB play, they could be dangerous

Vandy at Aggy - Aggy big

It is all in the timing. you let a couple of months go by and then turn it on in the middle of a show he is watching. I only have the punt return portion recorded, so it immediately goes to that. I have it on my computer and with the Smart TV, I can interrupt his show from my computer to show on the TV.

One day I will find my computer smashed...

I think Pittman will get them back to 8-10 win seasons before long.

If things at UF stay the way they are right now, with WRs opting out, Trask will have practically no one to throw the ball to. If Grimes and Copeland have indeed opted out, Pitts is the only one returning with any experience. That makes it a defensive game. I think Ole Miss has the opportunity to steal it at home.

UT claims a strong OL, but SCar just might quietly have the best DL in the East. I think that stalemate (slight favor to SCar) could be the deciding factor. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Particularly early games.
