Word coming out of USC is pump the brakes on Helton being fired.

A couple thoughts. Reporters this time of year want to be the one with the breaking story on fired coaches. So, taking this story to serious is probably not a good thing.

As for USC saying nothing has been determined yet is expected.

I certainly hope it’s true, but I don’t expect an official Helton is staying or Helton is fired announcement until tomorrow. Until then, I may be drinking
