So why no discussion about OSU being #1

At the moment, I have Ohio State #2 and that's only because they're 8-0 while Clemson's 9-0. When the Tigers were 8-0 the Buckeyes were #1. Of the 7 teams still unbeaten, OSU easily has the best schedule played so far. This is based on win-loss differential of the opponents played with an automatic -20 for any non-FBS foe. CU is currently at -24 with their differential which would put them behind Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, and Penn State if they all had the same record. Coincidentally those are the 4 teams currently in the Chosen 4 spots with the Tigers 5th.

Also note that of these teams, the Buckeyes are the only one with a positive differential, which is 11.

1- Clemson [9-0]
2- Ohio State [8-0][11]
3- LSU [8-0][-11]
4- Alabama [8-0][-13]
5- Penn State [8-0][-22]
6- Baylor [8-0][-26]
7- Minnesota [8-0][-29]

It doesn’t mean anything. The teams in the top 4 still have to play regular season games against each other and play in the same divisions so only one from each conference can play in the CCG.
They could have taken the top 5, drawn them out of a hat and it would have been fine.

I understand the concept of opinion, but let's look at a few things. LSU raped Georgia Southern. Georgia Southern took Minnesota to triple overtime. Georgia Southern beat AppSt who beat the UNC team that was a 2-pt conversion from beating Clemson.

The best win that OSU has is against a P5 Cincinnati.

It's the "eye test". Burrow at LSU has been phenomenal against highly ranked opponents. Fields has been phenomenal against what?
Fields was pretty good at being GAs second string QB.

Pretty fucking laughable, if you ask me. LSU has a ridiculously better SOS. Dafuq was the committee thinking?

Not that it will matter when all is said and done, but Dafuq were they thinking?

I feel like this was a "everybody gets a trophy week"..

The committee knows Ohio St plays #4 Penn St (another laughable ranking if you ask me) in three weeks... So one of them will be eliminated.
