We knew the shit would hit our fans. And we both willingly accepted that. It's called being an adult. We made our own choices. What neither of us have ever been good with is the number of people who got caught up in it and suffered.

Yes it is a posting board and yes it is a dying breed of communication. But is also years of friendships and pride. I have never denied my part in what caused me to get the ban. But there were plenty that didnt go to the board at all that caught bans. Or people that went there. Did little to nothing wrong and caught the same ban. I tried to the same as PSUTE to get those bans lifted. Not as some martyr but to help keep those friendships and that board where it belonged.

So I dont know what the goal of your post was. But if it was somehow to belittle either of us. Just to say this. I've never seen or hell even heard of PSUTE do something that wasnt an example of solid character or questionable morality. And as for me. Trust me I've been called far worse of things by far better of people than what I hold you to.

I knew when I posted the email string it was as gonna be over for me. So damn sad that so many, the heart and soul of that board were taken down. As did you. We walked away with our integrity intact. Good enough. Now we're here, sponsored by one of our own surrounded by a lot of the best of the best, some have yet to wander in. Hoping they find this refuge...

The only thing that ever bothered me is that there were a few that participated heavily (and by heavily, I mean they posted nudes on multiple occasions.) on the purple board that are still on SO. I'll go to my grave believing it was a targeted purge.

Just pointing out that well-known veteran posters knew that a lot of people were making their own bed. The purge didn't divide the board. It was the result of the board being intentionally divided.

It wasn't. It was no different than having a private conversation with multiple participants. The only people that look at it as dividing the board are the same people that need a reason for there to be a division.

It wasnt a cool kids club or anything like that. It was a board that a bunch of us posted on. It wasnt hidden it just wasnt being used. If any of you would have stumbled onto it you would have seen everything we saw.

I've heard this tired argument of division and it never stands up to scrutiny. It is just an empty talking point repeated enough that people start believing it. And since it is primarily said on SoundOff where none of us post there isnt a counter point to be offered.

And as far as us knowing people would get banned. We literally talked about in some of the posts. And the people that posted things they weren't supposed to post knew they could be banned for it the same as if they posted it on SoundOff. And again. As adults they made their choice. The problem comes from the people that got caught in friendly fire.

We will never know that. The one thing I will say is that AR wasnt behind it. Again he got a lot of bad press because of what was happening in his world around that same time. That had nothing to do with posting. Him and I talked almost literally as I lost my access and was texting and talking to others as they lost theirs. And he had no idea.

To be fair. The way that I found out about the board was in a message in the mod private conversation that I believe he had access to. But if I remember right he was kind of on a break when it was posted and most likely never saw it. Mainly that chat was just for us to talk about day to day admin stuff like if someone caused trouble or we locked a thread or if one of us would be out of pocket for a period of time. 99% of the time it was very boring stuff.
 
I never really saw anything posted on the purple board that was half as offensive or angry towards other posters as what I saw on SO. People say they posted nudes, maybe so, but I never saw any or didnt click on it. I thought having that board was funny as hell due to nobody ever posting on an unused board. From what I saw and participated in, it was nothing outrageous, but I guess there where a bunch of Karens that got triggered before the terms "Karen" and "triggered" became popular vernacular.

I posted a thread that was a poll. It was a joke about which way you shower. Do you face towards or away from the water. And for the poll options I used picutres of nekkid women looking at or away from the water.

Again. I chose to post that. And I knew it was against the rules to post it. So that i got banned for it was my own doing and my own fault. However others were banned for mearly being a thread that had images like that even if they didnt do anything

As far as thick skinned? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Folks shoulda been on message boards in the early 2000's. Unmodded and no holds barred. Things that would get you a permanent hammer drop now were as commonplace as saying good morning.

I talked to him face to face while I was in Idaho for Nod's wedding. I'm convinced that he had nothing to do with it.
