South Carolina just "activated" a graduate assistant and added him to the QB room

Me neither. That's what fascinated me enough to post the thread.

Yeah, it seems strange because, if I remember correctly, GAs do get some sort of payment from the university. Am I wrong on that remembering? If they do get paid, then I guess he maintained his eligibility because he got paid to coach and not to play?? Because even with NIL the school still can't directly pay athletes.

Either way, it's definitely out there , but kinda cool at the same time.

Another strange thing that you just don't see every day is that JR Smith (NBA player drafted right out of high school) is now playing on the North Carolina A&T golf team.
