Nickelodeon has killed SB since Steven Hillenburg passed.
There were animation styles and story ideas Nickelodeon wanted Steven to pursue and he always staunchly said no. Almost immediately after he died, the next season without him as animator had Nickelodeon implementing things Steven would never have wanted.
Nick shit all over him. He created SpongeBob to show his love of Marine Biology (to which he was before creating SpongeBob) to kids.
Everything post Steven is a steaming pile of shit
*Edit to Say* I don't give a flying fuck what genders or sexualities are in shows or cartoons, show as much or as little as you want, that's on the creator. I only care about this certain topic because Sponge Bob has been murdered for cheap ratings and fake woke identity politics by feel good liberals. There's nothing progressive about this, it is strait from the Kente and take a knee playbook for show while passing legislation against the people you just feigned solidarity with.
