This pic was taken atop Mt. Pisgah, where a steep hill meets a sand dune. This overlooks the channel and state park in Holland, MI. Lake Michigan in the background.

The steps up to the top are a decent hike. These stairs go almost all the way down to the lake level seen here. That’s Lake Macatawa in the background, it spans about 6 miles inland from the end of the channel in the previous pic.

I've never done a skirt steak, we don't see them much in our stores. Would love to try sometime though, hot and fast right?

Pictures are great and all, but since smart phones came out, it's too easy to go overboard. The cost of film and the hassle of developing it made you think about when you really need a picture.

Social media use made it a bit worse. I met some friends for a couple weeks ago, and we ran into someone we knew. That guy stopped to chat, had half a beer, then took a selfie/group pic. Apparently it was posted on Facebook within minutes. The enjoyment for this guy was not sitting at an open air bar enjoying the weather and a few , it was to let a bunch of people that he knows that he did it. Such a strange dynamic...once I deleted Facebook I realized how much time I wasted on it, and how little positive comes from it (at least for me). A nice benefit is that I get calls and texts from people who realized I'm not on there anymore.
