It is now September which means we are now in the Berry Months (September, October, November, December, January, February) and a reminder that March 1 should be New Year's Day. But never mind that now.
There are still Week 1 games to be played, but it is Sunday Morning so it's time for Sunday Morning After! Colorado survived a scare from NDSU. North Carolina survived a trip to Minnesota. Michigan State struggled to beat FAU at home. TCU beat Stanford on the road, continuing Stanford's run of misery. Georgia's defense is once again solid. Notre Dame beat Texas A&M as the Duke quarterback beat the Duke head coach. Duke meanwhile won their season opener. Michigan continued their long, ongoing refused to be shut out at home streak. Miami-FL may have cost Billy Napier his job. Iowa had offense not named Caitlin Clark. Vanderbilt beat Virginia Tech. South Carolina survived Old Dominion. Texas Tech needed overtime to barely beat ACU. Georgia Tech is 2-0!
Outside of College Football, North Carolina beat Michigan to open their field hockey campaign as defending National Champions. This year will be the first in 2 decades or so in which the Tennis Men's Grand Slams will not have been won at least once during a calendar year by either Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Novak Djokovic. Ashlynn Watkins of South Carolina Women's Basketball managed to get herself arrested. Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are benefiting from the Olympic break. The NFL roster is set and this season starts this coming week. And it's nut up or shut up time in the NASCAR Cup series as the Playoff field is about to be finalized in Darlington.
Questions!
How much longer does Billy Napier last at Florida?
Is Miami-FL now the saving grace of the ACC?
Is Colorado in trouble again?
Is NDSU a threat to South Dakota State this year?
Is Georgia your front runner for the CFP National Championship?
Has Iowa found its offense???
How long a season is Virginia Tech in for?
Will ACU get an ACC invite?
Is Georgia Tech for real??
Non-College Football Questions...
Who's the biggest obstacle to Erin Matson and the Tar Heels' Field Hockey dynasty?
Who's gonna be the next great standout in Men's Pro Tennis?
If you're Dawn Staley, what do you do with Ashlynn Watkins?
Is the WNBA Rookie of the Year discussion no longer a discussion?
Who's the biggest challenge to the Kansas City Chiefs' dynasty?
This NASCAR Playoff format is somethin' else, ain't it?
All these and whatever sports things you're into! Make your predictions for tonight, tomorrow's and Week 2 college football action!
Happy Sunday.
