This shit is beyond greasy. I think we just paid $6 mil reportedly for Iowa State's like 3rd scoring option in basketball. You've got guys blatantly throwing games and gambling on them for profit getting a 2 game suspension.

To be honest college and professional sports have brought this on themselves. You can't accept gambling sponsorship and expect athletes not to partake in something they see everyday.

Athletes no matter the sport have shown numerous times they lack good judgement. Now add NIL money and with little to no morals, ethics or character and this is what you get. JMO

I firmly believe every athlete who receives NIL , COLLECTIVE , ETC should have to pay their own tuition.

I'm not even against outright bans on athletes gambling, even though it truly is a slippery slope.

They simply shouldn't be allowed to place bets on the sport they are participating in, regardless of intent.
