They aren't here, at least the black widows. Its the brown recluse that you need to be careful of here, although they are pretty shy and you don't see them much.

I was in the ER once, and a guy in the waiting room with below the knee amputation said he waited too long to go to the hospital after recluse bite. My memory is foggy, it could have been a widow (pretty sure it was a recluse) and I dont remember why he was there but the amputation was fairly fresh.
