The difference is we do not worship the government or Earth Mother Gaia. We do not think it the place of government or even us to control every last facet of people's lives. Y'all do. You do think it your place to tell others how to live, to take away their choices and dictate to them. You tell yourselves you want to exercise all this power "for their own good" but the truth is you just want power.

What's the point. You'll just say I don't trust your source. We've played this game before. There are only 56,000. They'd get a lot more money from the US government than they get from the Danish government. Its not hard to understand.

Interest from China and Russia spurring Trump to throw the U. S. offer in there. Denmark cannot offer to, or entertain offers from others, under the table and say "We didn't think you would be interested". Trump put them on notice that any sale would need to be out in the open and not a secret deal. Greenland has a far larger supply of rare earths, currently a near monopoly by China, additionally oil fields to develope, and strategically, both Russia and especially China would love to have airbases and ports in between the U. S. and Europe.

Oh I understand why the US would want it for strategic and possibly even economic reasons. They can't have been surprised the Danes would turn down any such offer though just as we would if someone else offered to buy some of our territory (though I'd gladly part with some). I don't understand why he cancelled a plan trip there just because they said offering to buy their territory was "absurd". What's the big deal? We'd have said the same.

I don't agree with Trump often anymore but his offer to buy Greenland was brilliant. With a few more years of global-warming the place will become very habitable. Packing now and moving to our new ethnostate. 10/10 would recommend to friends.
