No. It's more than that. I would think they'd want him to run more than Desantis. They want to paint any and all who would vote for him as supporting an insurrection. They want to paint half the country as traitors.

Wokism is a religion to them. It provides a moral framework within which they want to live and force others to adhere to. In that regard it's no different than any other religion. They've just been able to gaslight people into thinking its not a religion - it's just "progress". Dim witted people fall for it.
