The Iron Law of Electricity strikes again, this time in Germany. Last week, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that five lignite-fueled power plants will be reopened even though burning lignite to produce electricity emits more carbon dioxide than any other form of power generation.

Politicians love to jump on the bandwagon, even though it's headed over the cliff. Zero moderation of thinking when it comes to pandering to the latest shiny red wagon. Can we get there? Maybe, but a bunch of artificial deadlines ain't gonna make it happen, but hey, that thinking doesn't get you elected...
