They only mean that in one direction. They’re always using vastly more incendiary language and hyperbole, but freak when the right uses even mild terms. No different than them downplaying multiple assassination attempts by freaking out that Trump made a joke about Paul Pelosi being hit with a hammer during a gay tryst. They find that to be far more alarming than a near lethal headshot.
