At work today. Guy told me and another guy "Happy Veterans Day". The other guy was Army Infantry with 4 deployments to Afghanistan. Lost many friends. His immediate response was, "Ain't nothing happy about today.". He came back later and told me he was embarrassed by his response. After he thought about it, he realized the guy was just trying to say thank you.
