I have never heard of most of them, but I trust that people in those positions have to be intelligent enough to have earned those positions. Who am I, some random country folk from Alabama to think I am smarter than them?

If I go to a doctor and he tells me I need to take this medicine for an ear infection. Am I going to start asking the doctor if he is sure this is what I should be doing? That would be an insult.

I know people in real life who are almost having strokes because of how fearful & stressed they are. They believe, more than I even do, that we are about to be under an authoritative dictatorship.

So you automatically respect their titles, ignorant of their merit? Yknow doctors used to say smoking wasn’t just non-harmful, it was GOOD for you. Hell, in 2020, doctors claimed social distancing worked, masks protected, and urged against the Covid vaccine. Until after the election, in which case they said the vaccines worked with 100% efficiency and there was no risk of harmful side effect. Oops.

And of course people like yourself looked down your nose at people like me who rightly held sting reservations about all that “expert” (and authoritarian, as you’re so worried about it) advice. But what do I know? I’m no doctor. Just a well read, intelligent person with a functioning brain and common sense.

I dont look down on anyone. I just try to have a non biased view. I am not set in stone without thinking that I may be wrong.

I also do not blindly believe prices on things will go down, Trump plans on having tariffs which will raise prices. He only cares about himself and his rich friends. If there is anyone who looks their nose down at you, it's Trump. The very southern middle class and lower class Alabama residents whom voted for Trump, are the ones he will hurt the most.

His first term was just a test run to see what he could do..etc. It was also heavily impacted by covid.

However.... hopefully in the first 6-8 months things will get better. This whole last 8 years have been a sad comedy show.

I hope there will be normal people running in 2028.

for the Democratic party.. it's someone who is actually liked and was not given the spot, someone who is not having trouble remembering things, someone who doesn't slur their speech.

for Republicans... someone who is not a convicted felon, someone who is not a sexist, someone who does nut use insults as a way to attack others.. someone who cares about someone other than themselves. One thing though, a focus on the U.S, and not supplying other countries with billions in military equipment. We have poor and starving people, yet we send billions to other countries...

I am going to have to read up on the potential candidates over the next 4 years.

I really hope Kamala does not run.
