Tua had surgery on his injured ankle this morning

Damn that sucks. Although I don’t think it’s going to be the case in this situation, but USC’s Slovis replaced Daniels when he went down. Bad for Daniels, good for Slovis and SC.

But the biggie is, will he be 100% against the corndogs.
I seriously doubt it, but Tua at 70 percent, is better than most others at 100%. It's his right ankle, so it's not his plant foot so he'll still be able to step into his throws. His mobility will be seriously impacted though. This team does not have the defense we normally do to stop teams cold. As Tua goes, the season goes. I hope he recovers quickly. Mac Jones can beat Arky, but the rest of the games on the schedule will be quite a different story.

Mac Jones. He is a serviceable QB, but more of a game manager, not a dynamic thrower. He knows the offense, but looked nervous and tentative in relief of Tua last night.
one play from last night,, 3rd and 8,, he scrambled up the middle and slid in after about 7, a head first or at a minimum some good ole fashioned want to would have gotten a first.. the game was far from decided at that time..

He did make some decent throws that hit Najee in the hands and it was dropped. Hit Smith on a slant that was dropped as well. They weren't perfect, but if it hit's you in the hands in stride, you have to make those catches.

Glad it is not season ending! Love watching his throws. Even mighty Bama :
(Pun intended)

By the way, I was pulling for your boys yesterday. If they had even a SLIGHT threat of a passing game they could have had a chance. The defense played VERY well, but just got gassed. You were running the ball well at times, but couldn't hit a pass to save their life.

Thanks! We are with a WR at QB due to 3 injuries. He can do everything, but pass. Proud of the defense, except the DC should have known after 1000 times, that they were going to run the ball outside every time. I was vocally calling UGA plays every time, "Hand-off to Swift, left corner ." Should have stacked the box. Fromm definately wasnt slinging it. Bad punt too, by a great punter. I was shocked we hung in there the first half. UGA tried to steal our OC (Gran) in the off-season, but he can only do what the cupboard allows.

Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will miss Saturday's game against Arkansas after undergoing surgery to help repair a high-ankle sprain he suffered against Tennessee.

Tagovailoa suffered the injury during last night's win over the Volunteers. He had surgery Sunday morning.

That sucks to lose a dynamic player like that. I dont recall hearing about a surgical fix for a high ankle sprain, I always thought it took extended time off to heal properly. Hopefully he's back soon.
