Based on what? I think it is about right. I think coaches like Harbaugh are way over paid. I would rather see a bigger budget for assistants than more for a coach that hasnt won a major bowl yet

Again. He is 9 or 10 win coach. With no major bowl victories. Mind you the program now is in the best position it has been since Lou. But that doesn't mean that ND is backing up a brinks truck to his door.

He has already played the agent game to get extensions and raises in the past by flirting with the NFL in 2012 and winning the bowl game against LSU the other year. But that still doesn't leave out the utter failures in against Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State.

I think 4 million or so for a coach that hasnt won is a good bar. I think too many schools are trying to pay Saban like money for Kelly type results. ND has the bar at national championships. Not conference ones.
