Urban Meyer looking for a new coaching job again

Do you want him, OP?...as USC coach, I mean?
No I’ve never wanted Meyer as SC’s next cia h. Fickell has been my top choice. Problem is whether Fickell and his family will leave Ohio or whether he would jump ship if Day goes to the NFL. Fickell has very heavy Ohio State ties. Bohn did hire him at Cincy and SC can pay him so it’s always possible. He’s a hell of a coach imo

Second choice for me would be Kalani Sitake from BYU. A bit of a sleeper but he would be a nasty good fit with SC. Gets the most out of his players, Polynesian ties and I could see him really excelling with recruiting and getting the most out SC’s talent

How haveyou been TINP great game by your buskers yesterday was a great day for college football too tho haha

I haven't thought about that one. Damn nice choice. Southern Cal used to hang it's hat on those Polynesian stars. Big uglies on both lines and beasts at LB. That's a choice that could get all the alumni on board to bring back the Trojan pride of our old days.

I enjoyed the win yesterday, of course. Off field, I'm doing great!....I'm in love and don't care who knows it...the sex is amazing.

Thanks for the response, hope you are doing well also.

Sitake may not be a huge on the radar guy. But he checks all the boxes for SC needs imo. Really like the discipline and drive he’s brought to BYU. Definitely gets the most out of his talent. He’s been hell on PAC teams. Already has a great relationship with Jaxson Dart who may take Slovis’s job once he’s fully healthy again. Estimating him back possibly by Utah or ND. Sitake runs an SC offense GH and his air raid have to go. Poly ties would go both ways SC’s Poly community and a pay raise could be a draw for Sitake. The interesting part is SC finishes the season against BYU this year. Really like Fickell but if he doesn’t want it. Sitake would be a sneaky great pick to get SC where they need to be. But that’s just my opinion.

Sitake is an amazing coach but good luck getting a BYU Football Alum and Latter Day Saint away from Provo. It's going to be one of those, pitch better be about something other than money kind of things.

It most definitely would not be easy. The BYU alum part would be the biggest obstacle imo. If a school could pull it off SC might could be the one to do it imo. The money and opportunity would be there. But I think it would come down to SC having a very strong Poly LDS community and presence within the university. Including programs and groups devoted to Pacific Islanders/ LDS. With causes that may possibly mean a great deal to Sitake.

SC also does have a history of Poly LDS players. And current Poly LDS and LDS playerson their current roster. Jaxson Dart amongst other LDS athletes that committed where SC’s Poly/LDS presence played a role in their decisions to come to SC.I believe Katoa went on a two year mission around 2018 before returning to the team. Last time SC brought in a former BYU guy (albeit he had a one year stint with NC State) it worked out really well with Norm Chow.

If they could pull Sitake I would be all in. He really is an amazing coach. He has what it takes to get SC to where they need to be. It’s a matter of whether Bohn has him on the radar and makes the call which never hurts. And if SC can get him past the BYU alum barrier imo.

Urban back to college? Guess he may be considering the junk-to-booty ratio.

Urban1633543581531.png Meyer back to college? Dozens of ADs have strong opinions on possibility

Urban Meyer has had a rough few days, and his move to the NFL has been difficult at best. So what are the chances he returns to college where he has a reputation as a national championship-level coach?
Some 65 athletics directors were surveyed about the possibility, and there were strong responses to The Action Network. Nearly three-fourths of college athletic directors told The Action Network they would not consider Meyer if they needed a coach in 2022.

“No way,” a Power Five AD said. “Not in a million years.”

The ADs were asked if their school had the money and resources, would they consider Meyer if their school needed a new coach in 2022. The ADs were granted anonymity for their responses. It turns out, Group of Five ADs were more likely to be interested in hiring Meyer than Power 5.
Nearly 40 percent of the Group of Five athletic directors said they would consider hiring Meyer, compared to only 15% of the Power Five athletic directors.
Meyer is facing challenges on multiple fronts. Jacksonville is 0-4, and is facing backlash and criticism about viral videos that surfaced last weekend from Ohio of a woman who is not Meyer’s wife dancing on his lap.
But depending on the level of AD, Meyer’s return to college is debatable.
“While [university] presidents and athletic directors want people of high character, fans only care about winning,” said a Group of Five AD who would hire Meyer. “They will overlook all sorts of indiscretions for winners. Losers, on the other hand, can get fired for running a stop sign.”
Countered a Power 5 AD: “Are you shitting me? He has a mental problem. How does a guy that makes $10 million a year go to a bar and put his hand up a woman’s crotch?”

I mean we elected a president that touches little girls inappropriately so tell me again why we have a problem with any guy that grabs a grown woman's crotch when she is asking him to?

You didn't answer the question, though. I ain't trying to make this political. Tell me why Urban being a male that touches the crotch of a woman that's obviously asking him to is the bigger news.
A man at Urban's age should know better. The fact that he doesn't tells he is a man of low character and basically a power drunk pos...

I can't disagree. I've considered him a piece of shit for his entire career. He is the definition of "narcissist". He's never done anything that had intentions beyond his own personal advancement.

If he gets fired or quits (a one year failure) how does it affect his legacy? He’s already pretty unpopular in Gainesville but I assume revered in Columbus.
