Hold up I just realized Pitt is ranked after losing their best QB and WR in a generation and basically have nothing to replace them with. Meanwhile BYU that just finished 10-2 (mind you had a terrible loss to UAB in the bowl) isn't even ranked?

I hate preseason polls.

Not only did Pitt lose those players, the wide open offensive coordinator was replaced by someone who thinks more like the HC (conservative). Compare Boston College's offense last year to Pitt's. I think people are WAY too high on the Panthers (and I love it).

And yes, I will return to eat crow if I am wrong!

I hate preseason polls.

Pitt returns nearly every other starter, though. BYU does not. They were a very heavy 5th year Senior laden team.

I expect BC to be a tougher out than most expect if PJ can stay healthy at QB. Really pissed me off then BK chased him out of ND in favor of Ian Book

Phil is good, Zay can make plays, but their O-Line isn’t very good. It’s gonna impede them taking the next step.

A backup ND TE also took the portal to BC last year also. He isn't anywhere near the quality of M Mayer. But he is a solid TE that if he has a good year could go on day 3 of the draft.

I don't expect BC to be top 4. But I do think you will see a better more capable squad than last year. And could see a good 8 to 10 win season for them
