USC: no Urban=no new AD

Apparently the new President won’t allow whoever they hire as new AD to hire Urban.
I'm not surprised at all by the president's decision on Urban. I'm not sure why it would be a dealbreaker for Bohn though.

I agree. She is the top boss and you are working for her. As it has been mentioned, she got the job to cleanup the University. As much as I would like to have Urban, he has baggage that she would have to answer for if he was chosen.

Or she could hire a bad ass compliance administrator (preferably someone form the NCAA) to watch every move. Guess that goes over her head...

I realize I’m the only one who cares but here is more:

Discussions between USC President Carol Folt and Bohn continued Tuesday in an effort to resolve the situation, with the longtime AD likely headed west after being assured he will have autonomy over the Trojans' coaching situation. An announcement for Bohn's hire could still come this week.

I think most of us are interested, but just as casual observers, not concerned parties.
