Tough finish today. Really wanted to see him get back to Shinnecock. When we went in 2018 he missed a 3 footer on the 36th hole to miss the cut on his 30th birthday.
His back has really been nagging him lately. I don’t know how he does it? He’s a tough SOB. When he won the qualifier here in Columbus a few years back he was staying at our house during The Memorial playing with a bulging disc. He was literally screaming in pain every night just trying to get off the couch. When I’d drop him off at the course he couldn’t stand up straight. Still made the cut and then had to play 36 on Monday. Goes out and shoots a course record 61 on his final 18 lol. It’s unreal.
And that course looks sweet, have fun out there next week!!
