What we’re your week 1 takeaways? What did we learn?

Clemson sucks balls. FSU is for real. TCU sucks, Coach Prime is for real. Gators still suck and Napier is still on the hot seat. Gamecocks have work to do. Penix is the real deal. ND is looking for a play-off spot. tOSU is suspect. Oregon put p 81 and Ole Miss and Okie put up 73 against cupcakes. USC continues to roll until they have some competition. Bama found a QB. Georgia is still the champs 'till they aint.

As a Nole Fan it’s safe to say Keon Coleman is as good as advertised. Jordan Travis is just as dynamic a QB has anyone. The depth on the D-Line is good.

I’ve always said Mike Norvell is a better than credit for X’s and O’s Coach and has always been good at halftime adjustments.

The only concerns are there’s still some major communication issues in the secondary that needs real work and we have to be able to run the ball effectively out of one back sets.

But if we can by Clemson in three weeks, while not a guaranteed trip to the ACCCG, it’s a nice little buffer to have.

Clemson was predicted to have a top 3 DL. Duke's OL man handled them all night. Fact is, the game ended up being what it was because Duke won the trenches on both sides of the ball all night. Duke is a 9 win team give or take. Clemson has a coaching problem that the players aren't happy with. Dabo is done. He absolutely is NOT what Bama needs to replace Saban when the GOAT decides to hang up his coaching whistle.

I said when Norvell was hired that he was the best hire for FSU. He had a lot of work to do to fix the culture that went south during Jimbo's tenure and hit rock bottom under Taggart. He's done a helluva job and kudos to FSU for giving him the time and freedom to fix it. It started paying off noticeably last season and it will be a story line all year this season. FSU being a contender is good for CFB, so I am happy to see it.
 
Milton III kid has a damn canon for an arm. Tennessee’s receivers will slice and dice through SEC competition
TCU is a G-5 team, right?
North Carolina looked sound, but not special.
I feel really good about playing Bama with Milroe at QB.
OU can score points. Like, a lot against Butch Jones.
FSU was the most impressive team to date.

Agreed. I’ve always liked Dabo but his response to that humiliating loss was to neither take responsibility nor explain what went wrong. He just acted like it was a bewildering and unprecedented, unfathomable quagmire. No, it was bad breaks due to lack of discipline which is on coaching. Either he doesn’t see that, or, he refuses to. Not sure which is worse.
