Why did IB hate B Kelly

Here is example number 1.

Kelly's biggest recurring nag at ND was that he couldn't recruit championship type of players. And that good southern kids would never come to S Bend. The term he used was always "ND has to shop down a different aisle".

So enter tonight. ND and LSU along with some other schools have been trying to get 4* LB J Ausberry. Who lives in Baton Rouge and literally goes to school on the LSU campus just committed to ND. And the scuttle butt about it was that after coming to campus with his father. Who by the way is a former LSU LB and is currently the deputy AD at LSU said that he felt that Kelly barely worried about having a relationship with him and just took him for granted because of his dad.

This is the typical B Kelly style. Spend the off season traveling the country golfing, taking a phone call here and there. And then when the kid is locked and ready to go public Kelly flies in for the photo op with the recruit and the coach that headed up the recruiting on that kid. And takes the credit for it.


Good luck LSU fans. It is going to cost you a lot of money to get rid of this locust

Well I hope you’re right. I do not like LSU.
 
I think there is a tier of coaches that you could just change the name and get almost identical results. Kelly, Harbaugh, Franklin, about a half dozen others. They are great for getting you good enough to win 9 or 10 games. And then on a lucky year over achieve. And then on a tough year come up short.

But they are not worth 100 million. It blows my mind his agent got that. LSU had to been in terror mode after not getting Riley and potentially having to have to go into signing day on an interim HC.

His son who is at Grand Valley State or some DII school DM'd me pissy that I was tweeting negatively about his pops lol.

@Irishblooded this requires some serious discussion. Maybe BK is as dumb as you say. I don't know the academic requirements necessary to get into GVSU, but I'd suspect that they are much lower than dozens of colleges that 100 million dollars could afford. How about some insight?

Oh boy, this will be interesting. Speaking as an alum from GVSU.....

Did a visit this summer to GVSU, U of M and MSU with one of my kids.
 
Was a good not great local football player. And B Kelly is a saint at Grand Valley for winning back to back championships way back when. So most likely was offered a chance to keep playing there since the kid wasn't good enough to play D1. I don't know there is anything nefarious there.
