I think it was someones attempt to discredit BYU. Otherwise why bring 1984 into it? And why make a Super Hero movie with Wonder Woman? Unless its meant to cast a spell?

1984 wasnt as aberremt as some want to make it. U.C.L.A. legitimately lay claim of the Belt. Nobody can take it away. The problem was BYU wasnt represented. Fiesta Bowl. In fact, other than the Cotton Bowl, Brigham Young has failed to secure a Belt. And Washington legitimately defeated Brigham Young. BYU needed to beat Washington (either season). Unfortunately that wasnt what happened. BYU lost to Washington in 1996.
