It really is amazing how we flat out refuse to move to a system that is objectively better in every way.

Water freezing and boiling at 32° and 212°

vs 0° and 100°.

12 inches to a foot.
3 feet to a yard.
1760 yards to a mile.
16 oz to a lb.

Vs

1000 millimeters to a meter
1000 meters to a kilometer
1000 grams to a kilogram
1000 kilograms to a tonne

🤷‍♂️

I have several tumors in my body. They are all measured in millimeters. Trust me, yearly MRi’s are easier to keep track in the metric system.

Metric is more logical but we have our system. We are used to it and comfortable with it and it works fine.

Same with Fahrenheit.

We have the world's oldest constitution. The only republic older than us is a tiny little microstate few have heard of. We use a property law system brought in by William the Conqueror in 1066 which even England got rid of in 1926.

We use older systems....and we're big #1 in the world.

They tried to teach us that crap back in 1974.

Even the little 4th grade Fishin told the teaching lady to stick that commie shit up her ass.

Metric system sucks, so does Celsius Just looking at a bolt head, metrics are more similar in size to each other, meaning that you will more often grab the wrong wrench, wasting time. Is it a 12 or a 13. Not so hard to tell between a 1/2 and a 9/16. What really drives me nuts is equipment manufacturers, looking at you case ih combines, who think they need to swap between different metric sizes on the same damn machine. 10 11, 12, 13, even 14s, oh and don't forget the fucking 18 hidden in behind the grain elevator that you can't see and have to grind down and then heat up and bend the damn wrench to get on it.
