Dukes Carolina Gold BBq sauce.

I haven't seen that on the shelves here in Alaska but I see Amazon sells it. I'll give it a try.

that Carolina Gold is awesome, I like a little vinegar in my bbq sauce. Anxious to try that Bama sauce, had some of that style with the the same name in the Smoky Mountains at a little BBq place and it was also great.

The irony is it's a mustard based sauce found in the midlands of South Carolina, near Columbia. It's the mayonaise company selling these. There is a BBQ place in Orangeburg known for "golden sauce" and it's known as Duke's BBQ (not the mayonnaise company). Shealy's and Maurice's are two of the better mustard based sauces out there. The colonial German settlers added mustard to the local pepper and vinegar sauce.

You got a problem with us??

I love mustard, but NOT in my bbq sauce.
Don't knock it until you try it. I prefer the original pepper and vinegar, but the two I mentioned above are excellent..

Well you unruly Germans (and Irish) were one of the reasons we (Carolina Colony, with the capitol in Charleston) kicked y'all out. Y'all wouldn't act and behave like the proper English gentleman in the lower half of Carolina, or Virginia, so we yanked y'all's club privileges.

The upstate S. C. German settlers were renown American Patriots fighting under "Skyagunsta" S. C. militia General Andrew Pickens and General Thomas Sumter "The Gamecock". Skyagunsta was a honorific name given by the Cherokee (meaning Wizard Owl) who held him in high esteem.

The "Alabama style" white sauce sucks balls. No self respecting BBQ in Alabama would push that crap off as white sauce.
