He’s still Coaching the SC/Cal game Saturday night. His statements during practice didn’t seem like he was staying with SC. Seeing his name linked to Washington thought Zona went with Nanson? Tbh would rather he stay on with SC but it would be hard to pass on a DC job

You're right .. it was Nansen. I thought for sure Zona would hire Jimmy Lake for DC.

Coach Dee doesn’t sound like he’s staying after the season. Some decommits in the secondary that were Coach Dee recruits. If I’m guessing there’s something behind the smoke saying Washington. Hate to see him go for recruiting reasons alone. Reactions from Oregon fans if he goes to Udubs should be entertaining

not sure how loyal they are to Donte but UW may be able to swing Prysock and or Gould out of that

I think the only UW coach that will be retained is Will Harris the DB coach and the rest of the coaches will be FSU guys from what I'm hearing.

I seriously think this was a very good hire and I’m glad we are not scheduled to play you guys next year. I’ll make the exception if it’s the CCG. As ghost said, rumors swirling that Donte is headed your way. I too wish we would keep him.

If this is happening, though, why hasn't it already happened? Seems strange that it would be a coach who has been free since last weekend. Aranda coached last night..... Timing on a Venables hire just seems kind of off unless there has been some intense negotiating going on all week.

I think Fickel was the target. They won yesterday. So Fickel said he isn’t leaving while his guys are in the playoff. If Cincy loses yesterday Fickel is the article today.

From what I have heard and read. It was
Fickel
Aranda
Campbell
Venerables
not in that order. But Ficckel was the top target overall

And did BAMA ever dodge a dicey hire there. Prolly would have good teams with winning(barely) seasons. But not the historic dominance that Saban is doing.
 
Looks like Miami might get their guy.

Really surprises me. There is absolutely no advantage to leaving Oregon for Miami.

Other than you are losing your OC that made you look better than you might actually be to run away from good competition like Utah and Riley
