My youngest when she was about 2 walked up to an old rooster we had and got her face really close to his just to look. He jumped up and spurred her right across the face, drew blood. My wife went and got a 22 and unloaded it on him. She called me and said come clean this bird, so I go home to do it, there wasnt any meat that didnt have bullet holes in it. Plus one right through the head, I asked her about that one, she said it was still twitching
 
It's hard to keep a cock down and believe me I've tried. You can beat it, choke it, wax it, or give it anything that it wants but it'll just keep coming back for more.

My granny had one... the dog (Black Lab) got his ass beat (pecked) often. That damned bird!!
