My lovely wife loves having babies. Our youngest kid is 4, my wife totally has baby fever right now. More than slipping her a D, like she wants to have a baby and be pregnant and everything. I am 42 also, so old AF.

I have a buttload of kids, both biological and long-term foster friends. I mean like 7 - 9 kids at all times in my house. They attract 5+ more on the weekends.

I'm not bragging - but the money and house situation is good. My kids have plenty of food, and a warm bed each night. I have my own business, so not getting fired. :(

So my wife keeps telling me her Tubal Ligation can be reversed. Should I go for it?

My wife went through “empty nest syndrome “ fairly early. My youngest was about 10 or so. All of her babies were growing up and didn’t depend on her anymore. She wanted a baby. I bought her an AKC Pekingese pup, female and nothing but a ball of fuzz. Brought her out of her funk, and gave her a “baby” to care for and spoil. Best purchase I ever made!

I'm almost 44 and there isn't any way I would want another. I look at little kids now and think about everything that parents have to do and the energy and time required just to get them to graduation and I'm like nope, not doing it. I don't want to be in my 60s when they graduate highschool. Then by the time they have their own kids you are looking at not being as active or involved in your grandchildrens lives either. But if those things aren't as big a deal for you or your wife that's your decision, I'm not going to tell you what to do, just food for thought. And kudos to you and your wife for doing the foster kid thing. It takes special people to balance that.

True story. My 3rd wife and I were on the same wavelength during our dating, engagement, and first 2 years of marriage. We both had kids that were 10 or older. We didn't want to start over. Then one day, I came home from work, grabbed a beer from the fridge, and sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. She came in the living room wearing some slinky "nighty" type thing and cuddled up to me and whispered, "I want me a baby". My response was..............."Well go get you one". I immediately cut her off and that was the beginning of the end of my 3rd marriage. If I was told "I'm pregnant" today, I'd immediately jump off a fucking bridge.

My first thought. Permanent 3 year old...

Pet Dander | American Lung Association

The American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology reports that almost 62% of all households in the U.S. have pets, with over 161 million of these pets being cats and dogs.
Animals without fur, like reptiles, amphibians and fish, do not shed dander so they have less of a chance of triggering an allergic reaction. But any mammal, like cats and dogs, as well as guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters, etc. shed dead skin cells called dander which is most likely to trigger an allergy.

I kinda knew that because my ex has a hairless cat and it still affects my son's allergies. Just couldn't pass up posting that pic cause I think it might be your spirit animal 😋

Just to add a little bit....having a kid at 38 was hard....on the Mrs and myself both....if that's any help.

Wouldn't change a thing in hindsight, but that was a tough 4-5 months towards the end of the pregnancy and all the way through adolescence lol.

Had the 3rd and 4th at 38.

Glad the next generation is doing that now .
