The Left has their new Patron Saint. All kneel and say the name of Amir Locke

I mean, the family doesn't seem unhinged.

I think they are, honestly, less worried about the criminal charges than about the civil suit against the city, which will likely pay out.

That doesn't mean wacko protesters won't come out of the woodworks here, but the real problem isn't how the officers reacted, but the concept of no-nock warrants in general.

I don't think any of the officers are at fault. I think the department and city probably are...
The kid was shot within 10 seconds of entering the home. He was not the target, nor a specific person of interest. He had a gun, by all counts he had it legally. But even the video/photo evidence show he was showing trigger discipline. It's not a crime to have a gun. It's an unfortunate case.

I don't disagree, but with him coming up with a gun (legally owned) you'd have a hard time finding that the officers didn't feel they were in danger.

It was a bad situation all around, but the cause, IMO, was the no-knock warrant, which shouldn't be a thing except in the most extreme circumstances where the target is absolutely verified...if at all...

I can agree with that, but I do still put at least some of the blame on the cop. The no-knock warrant didn't pull the trigger. We have the Second to protect us from an overbearing government - we shouldn't use the excuse of "he had a gun, so we were scared"

That is the problem with no-knock warrants.

Those guys were coming in expecting to apprehend an armed murderer.

But, in my opinion, this was just bad protocol. A flash bang and and tear gas would have saved this man's life...

Hard to blame the individual cops for following bad protocol.
