What game is your most painful loss to a/your rival?

those two are the most recent, I remember watching 17-16 punt Bama punt live.. , Bo over the top kinda sucked,, Bill Curry's 3 year span was the first time in a long time that the barn had multiple consecutive wins,, I remember the game Brody got sacked 103 times,, but auburn winning 6 in a row with tubervilles smug ass was probably the lowest ....
but the most embarrassing losses were not to a rival, its the ones we were supposed to win,, La Monroe tops that list, UCF is next, and a rainy night in Birmingham when I watched a southern miss team beat a dubose led Tide team,, and looong ago,,, Memphis beat a Bear Bryant led team ...
My guess is it has to be the Kick Six. I too remember Punt, Bama Punt! and Bo but IMHO in those games we had the team to hang, at least on one side of the ball. During the Tubs streak, y'all were in trouble as a program and we just fielded better teams. Even in Saban's first year or two, the cupboard was bare. I honestly think we fielded a better team for the Camback but for the Kick Six we should have been outclassed.

As do I. What conclusion did you reach?
First, let me explain my reactions after each.

When the 2010 game was lost, I felt numb. A sort of disbelief. Anger didn't come immediately, as I was more in just utter shock that so, so, so much insanity had happened in that game. 1/3 of it was us pissing it away, 1/3 was Auburn willing itself to victory, and 1/3 was just voodoo black magic bullshit. The Ingram fumble that was a sure touchdown that became a touchback. The dropped "unchurch 5" sure touchdown to Richardson, the fumble on the 5 that was recovered by Fairly, our guy (forget his name atm) tearing his pec and therefore not being able to cover the pass that began the comeback in the second, McElroy getting knocked out with a concussion, etc etc etc. Despite all that we had such a seemingly insurmountable lead at half, that when the clock hit 0:00, it just felt like, "What...the fuck!?" Obviously I desperately wanted to win it as I knew we we're the only team that was going to prevent Auburn from winning a national title. So, when AU won I knew, "Well, they won a fucking title, a YEAR after us." (and I was - laughably, now - worried it might be years or decades before we might win another meaning y'all would have won a title more recently than us. As it was, only a calendar year passed, haha).

The 2013 game I was very stressed for because of the black voodoo win against UGA. I know that momentum too well. Plus you cheaters cheat at home. And, there was the pressure of the three-peat and McCarron's heisman chances. I maintain, had we won, he very probably gets the Heisman due to lobbying (as much to NOT reward Winston as anything). Sports Illustrated had sipped hard for him, and that 99 yard TD to Cooper would have been the highlight, again, had we won. I missed much of the game due to my wife having incorrectly booked our flights to New York to visit her family a week prior. I straightedges them out but in doing so, we had to travel to the airport during teh game. I saw bits and pieces of the first quarter, heard some radio in a Ruskie's cabride to LaGuardia, and had to watch the second half midway through the third in an airport bar that was full of both Bama and AU fans and casual New York trash all rooting against Bama. When the kick six happened I closed out my tab and stormed off darkly, no doubt laughed at by many. I was drunk haha. I thought I might get arrested tbh because I was seething. I guess I looked just furious enough no one taunted me, because I was white hot. That game killed me for SO long because not only had we lost, but the manner and the fucking sure to be played a la Cal-Stanford "the band is on the field" for all time was a knife in my brain.

But, after (over for Camback, Jesus) a decade, perhaps because of our immense success under Saban, neither makes me all THAT mad. Maybe I am mellowing out in my older age. Or, perhaps the last few years have put college football in perspective. But, which bothers me more? It's weird because they're so different. The amount f insanity in the Camback, while irritating, is almost funny to the point I just shrug. I can recall that game so vividly. Where as the 2013 game, I can't (though to be fair, I missed so much, and I was drunk by game's end), and refuse to ever rewatch. So, I suppose I have to say teh 2013 game, as it cost Alabama more. Auburn gained more from teh 2010 win, but cost us more in the 2013 game.....the BCS game, the Heisman (maybe), the threepeat, plus that stupid highlight and that insufferable homer Auburn announcer slobbering all over himself.
