New here, so please forgive me if this is not a topic that would be discussed (also, I do not know who you all root for, so this should give some of that away).

What game are you looking forward to the most in 2022? For me, it would have to be our opening game in 38 days. It has been 11 years since the last Backyard Brawl was played. For those that do not know the series, it does not matter who the better team is, these games could go either way. WVU was #2 in 2007 going into the final game of the year against an unranked 4-7 Pitt team - AND LOST. I would ask any Pitt fans on here to give their impression, but they are a very rare breed (meaning very few in numbers) and I doubt there are any here.

So, what are you looking forward to most???

General consensus of the board is, and has been, we're all looking forward to the Backyard Brawl. I mean, for fucks sake, it's been eleven years since it was last played! I remember that 2007 game like it was yesterday. Mostly because Rich Rod was rumored to be Bama's next head coach. West Virginia really shit the bed that day. While we're all fans here of some other major CFB rivalries...BYU vs Utah, Middle Tennessee v Western Kentucky, Hawaii v Wyoming, we all can't wait to see Pitt vs West Virginia again!

The second game of the season for us is an away game at Stanford. While I am looking forward to the start of the season for the first time in a long time, first games are hard to gauge. The second game against Stanford I will be looking to see if Riley has brought discipline to this team. He has proven he can recruit, but I am looking to see if he can coach.

Naturally the game against Notre Dame is circled on my calendar. Planning on making my one game a year visit to L.A for this one as I have done every other year for decades now. Both USC and ND have new coaches so I think it makes it even more interesting than usual. I am working on a new connection to get my tickets and I am keeping my fingers crossed they come through.

The ND / USC game.

The ESPiN hype train is back in LA LA land. And according to them. They won't win a game by less than 30. So will be great getting a chance at the end of the year to off the number 1 team in the country in their house. With a first year HC.
I am surprised. Most of my Domer friends are most looking forward to tOSU game - even though they are very anxious/nervous about it.

Ohio St is a win / win.

We get to see a great opening week game. Plenty of story lines. And ND is a double digit dog in it. Literally as long they don't fall over the helmets coming out of the tunnel it doesn't matter what the score is.

Now. Do I want to see ND win. Absolutely. But after a decade plus of Brian Kelly PTSD in big games. I'm not holding my breath.

I am looking forward to PSU visiting the Plains. It should be the first real measure of Auburn for the season. I really hope the PSU fans can say the hospitality is as great for them as they provided for us last season. They were very classy and gracious hosts last season.

Happy Valley is a great environment, I've been to many a thrashing of my 'eers there. Only been to Jordan-Hare once, but it was a great time as well (again, it was an L). Both were very accommodating, but boisterous crowds. Not sure how the home fans would have reacted had my team won though...

By any chance were you in Auburn for it the Rain Game? I would like to think they would have handled it with class but you never know.

If only there was some mechanism, some technology you could use in order to look up information. Possibly something hand held. With a catchy name, something like Suree, or Goggle, that when you ask would be able to just give you answers on trivia like this?

Sounds like a million dollar idea to me. You should get on that.

That was lame

I haven't blown you shit in a long time. You were due ;)

Seriously though. I can say going into the Ohio St game I have literally no expectation other than taking a chug of beer as a drinking game every time they mention Brian Kelly during the game.
You'll be hammered before kickoff!
