It didn't just start in the 80s. Yes, Greed encompasses all political parties, but this isn't about money anymore. It never was, money was the excuse. A lot were duped into thinking that's all it was and unknowingly furthered the agenda. A good portion of us on the right have seen this coming, just as you've said you have. The thing is, it's only some of those on the conservative side of the elected aisle that have been trying to do anything about it. It's The left that just wants power and control. Show me where someone on the left that's elected wants to roll back any kind of supposed power the feds have. I don't want you to fuck off, you are an interesting individual, just don't lump all us conservatives into being part of the problem because we support part of the republican party. The so called rino's of the party are fair game. The McConnell and Cheney types are the ones who are aiding and abetting.

It took me a hot ass minute to figure it out and get off my high horse but I think I figured it out.

@Toadman005 I understand as a new father you are terrified. I hate that feeling for others. I've been terrified for 8 years now as a father of two special needs daughters.

@Nod4Eight I get it now homie I do. I mocked y'all for the conservatives efforts & Trump's efforts. Not because I hate conservatives or trump. I equally dislike them all. What I DIDN'T realize was you guys put your last hopes of saving this country into Trump & the Conservative party.

I see how my apathy grinds you guys. My reason for apathy is because I about 10 years ago during Obama realized this country was already done as is. There's less faith in this government than there is faith in it on a societal perspective & once that happens, there's zero historical evidence wherein that type of government survives without a civil war/fracture or authoritarian take over. One of those three are ticking time bombs which is why I am the way I am, all smug acting but not smug in meaning. I truly do think all measures taken have also been counterproductive. The abortion bill, cool, whatever, I don't care. The access to condoms and contraceptive bill that failed to pass the other day, however, it made my hate of the abortion bill seemed justified lol. It wasn't even for morning after, just that it would ensure stores still carried trojan condoms. Nope lol. That's why I say to cut off the nose to spite the face.

Anyway homies laugh away, ignore, whatever, don't really care. All I care about in this thread are the people talking in here. I don't give two fucks about those we are talking about. Just yall

Its not the apathy that grinds us. It's your "I knew what was coming and you didn't" attitude. You act "holier than thou", as if you can see things that we can't. And to be honest, you think you have it nailed with the "greed" angle, and I think that misses the mark completely.

True, it went off the rails under Obama. The Left wanting to grab power, do-nothing Repubs, the continual erosion of our culture by neo-marxists and social justice warriors. The denial of truth - for fucks sake - the people in power can't even admit that men can't get pregnant or define a woman. Politics is downstream of culture - and our culture has been under attack for too long.

It's not your apathy. It's your smugness - especially considering you missed the mark. You even missed it in your response to me. I never pinned my hopes to Trump and there really is no "conservative" party. What IS deflating is seeing that intelligent people such as yourself turn to pure evil when the cost of being moral is too expensive.

I'm not missing the mark. I just didn't feel like writing an expose that went 10k words to get laughed at. Trust me, greed isn't it, it's part of it but this traces back to Nixon if we really want to get into the absolute dynamics, reactions, feigned temperance etc.


I laugh because there's no changing the outcome. I'm not being smug about it. I'm just tired of being told I'm wrong for years only to see the sum of what I said would happen with each side fighting like the other is an enemy instead of a different perspective.


The country was doomed before the teenage mutant ninja what girls started screaming on TikTok, this country was doomed before a bunch of old people screamed at eateries for providing vegan alternatives for being woke and not realizing they make up 10% of the US market making them a capitalist marketing group.


This is why I laugh, one side agrees and the other gets outraged ad-fucking-naseum & it's a cyclical and faster and the reasoning for it is because we are circling the drain.

At the same time fake meat IS super processed with modified extracts, chemical processing etc. They are worse than pizza rolls for you. There's no way I'm ever eating that shit.
