Scott Frost Fired

We all knew he was getting canned.

Always thought it was odd to do it this early in the season. No reason not to keep him you have to pay him anyhow
Frost literally got Heltoned after losing to Clay. Did they name an intern yet? Nebraska needs to hire Helton or Bill O’Brien please

Scott Frost and his buyout did not factor into the timing of Nebraska’s decision to fire him.
Frost, who was fired earlier Sunday by the Cornhuskers, will receive $15 million in a buyout. However, his contract called for that figure to drop in half on Oct. 1, but Athletics Director Trev Alberts decided to make the move already.

Alberts released the following statement:
“Earlier today I met with Coach Frost and informed him we were making a change in the leadership of our football program, effective immediately. Scott has poured his heart and soul into the Nebraska football program both as a quarterback and head coach, and I appreciate his work and dedication.
“After the disappointing start to our season, I decided the best path forward for our program was to make a change in our head coaching position. Associate Head Coach Mickey Joseph will serve as our interim head coach for the remainder of the 2022 season.”

It is nice to know how much money this university has to be able to flush it down the toilet. The AD needs to be terminated in my opinion.

They could have waited 4 weeks and saved 7.5 million on the buyout.

Crazy not to wait until October 1st. That’s still plenty of time to let the world know you have an opening. And let’s face it, any coach who is hoping to land the job knew it was only a matter of time.

Maybe the AD is afraid they’ll beat Oklahoma this week. 😂
