About what I expected from the PAC with SC moving to the B1G the following season. 2 bye weeks from playing week 0. One placed three games in on a back loaded schedule. 9 game stretch, Utah on the backend of ND finish with a gauntlet of Washington,Oregon and fUCLA. Pac-12 predictably does USC no favors with schedule: Trojans play Utah one week after Notre Dame​



The Utah Utes won the Pac-12 once again this season but lost in the Rose Bowl, and Cam Rising decided to return for one more season.

Caleb Williams, the Heisman Trophy winner, is back for the USC Trojans and is a leading contender to win the award again. USC will fight for a College Football Playoff spot after a frustrating Pac-12 title game loss to Utah followed by a crushing Cotton Bowl loss to Tulane.

The Pac-12 schedule has been officially released on Wednesday. Pac-12 insider John Canzano mentioned some interesting scheduling notes.

Then came the actual schedule release on Wednesday. The Trojans learned that Utah would be one week after the Notre Dame game. The Trojans certainly wanted to not have to play an elite Pac-12 team either the week before or the week after the Notre Dame game. Predictably, the Pac-12 sent USC out the door — in its final season as a conference member — with an extra-difficult scheduling arrangement. USC hosts Utah one week after the Notre Dame game.

You didn’t think the Pac-12 would make life convenient for USC, did you?

To be fair SC spent the bulk of the PAC 12’s 11 year history on sanctions. With the way Larry Scott and the PAC turned their backs on SC. During Paul Dees witch hunt….I just don’t see anyone left who can carry the PAC when SC moves on.I I will miss the history but I can’t wait for the move. CDBAB2A9-69A7-4F55-B84C-3B58001ACCAF.png

That's the consequences of choosing to play ND every year.
 
I am actually kind of surprised and excited for how this schedule sets up. It is odd that ND found a way to get an extra BYE, by playing the week 0 game. I wasn't expecting that. Both of our BYE's though are after a big game not before them. And while at first I was kind of bummed by that. I then remembered a lot of teams get that emotional let down after a big game. So I think it might be a blessing in disguise. If handled right. And allow anyone beat up to get healthy again after putting the extra out on the field. ND starts in Dublin, Ireland. And being a McAmerican I wish I could be there for it. Also after this year, I will have to finally stop brow beating everyone about not playing FCS schools. As ND breaks it on a deal that B Kelly set up before running out of town because he was scared of competition. And ND will take on Tennessee St., coached by Eddie George. Couple that up with getting both Ohio St and USC at home this year vs both on the road last year. I think should help.
