The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Really glad to see you back to your old reckless ass self!
Yeah, I've had to really slow down. I can't do all I used to do, and I've had to find other ways of accomplishing the things I want to do. The mind is willing and eager, but my old body say's try it old man and I'll see to it you don't sleep without modern chemistry for a week! LOL!

The simulator software is free... you just have to buy specific modules for the aircraft you want to fly. About $80-$100 each. It's the damn peripherals which you need that cost so damn much. Throttle, flight stick, and rudder pedals will set you back a $1000.

Yep. In my soul I feel pretty good. Still got that LET'S ROCK AND ROLL type feeling.

But my body says don't you dare and if you try you will regret it.

Morning all. I mowed oat hay Thursday and Friday, there was only a small chance of rain, and the weather guy said it would evaporate before it got here, well it rained 2 inches last night. I'm grateful for the rain but I'm upset for my hay.
Hopefully we don’t see you post about a fire from wet hay!

It's going to be a pain to get it dried out. And next week, Tuesday through Saturday, I've got a bunch of stuff that I'm already committed to. Time is going to be a problem. I was wanting the hay to be wrapped up by Monday but that's not going to happen now.
Many a barn has been burned down due to putting up wet hay. And if memory serves me correctly, you have to watch for mold and stuff contaminating it. It’s been a long time since I’ve fooled with hay.

Well the good thing is that this hay will all get put into big rounds and will sit outside so I won't have to worry about the barn burning, but you're correct about the mold and the bales can still heat up if they are wet causing mold or possibly fire. Alot of times what happens with wet hay in round bales is the hay heats up in the core and the center turns black, just never gets hot enough to burn, but ruins the feed value.

Now I'm curious.... as some of you may know I am a fervent player of the Farming Simulator series... in game, I don't have to worry about hay bales doing that kind of thing but I am wondering in a real life situation if there is some way to salvage your bales say by wrapping them and letting them ferment into silage or would it still result in a loss?
