The new and improved Good Morning thread!

Welllllllllll shit.

I just went out and cranked my truck and it popped up with a yellow wrench symbol on the dash.

Ran perfect yesterday.... now it is not responding well to the gas pedal and is shaking. I have a feeling I am gonna be pissed off for the rest of the day. I really don't wanna take a PTO day and I really don't want to have to get it towed to the mechanic.

I am gonna sit here and think this through.

Good Morning.

Welp, ended up cranking it again and this time it threw a code so I plugged in my reader and it said the Throttle Actuator Control System is stuck closed.

I shut it down and went back in and googled it found a youtube video that a guy had the same exact problem and he said his was intermittent. He ended up replacing the throttle body and the throttle module.

I went back out to my truck and cranked it again... this time it was running smooth. I cleared the code and put it in gear then drove to work with no issues. Thinking I might get some throttle body air intake cleaner and try cleaning it up. Hoping it doesn't start doing this again when I leave work.

Fingers crossed.

There a lot of advantages to electronic controls. Troubleshooting and repair are not among them.

I made it home with no issues... well, other than trying to give my daughters car enough room to back out of the driveway and my right rear tire slipped off the driveway and into the ditch... had to get a couple 2x4s to get it out.

The only thing my daughter said when I told her was "You didn't hit my car did you?!" to which I replied "Don't worry I am fine!"
