The other day instead of paying the $100+ veterinarian fee to update my dog’s rabies shot, I stood in line at the local feed store to pay less than $20 bucks

Before you PETA loving individuals attack me, I doubt there are many on this board, all my dogs outlive their breed life span on cheap dog food and non existent vet visits.

Anyways, whether it’s booze, eating out, clothes, etc

I’m usually going the cheap route.

I’ve heard a handful of people here lately complaining about vets and dentists. Apparently private equity is buying out practices and implementing a policy of requiring all kinds of stuff that never came up before.

I know a guy who had a 16 year old cat. The new vet sent a letter to introduce herself, and said that the cat needed a checkup to stay in good standing at the practice. He took the cat in, and was told that it needs a tooth removed, along with a lump on its tail.

The guy reluctantly did all that the vet recommended at a cost of $2000 (which he had to finance). The cat died a week later.

It took hard work for me not to slap the guy.

Once many years ago Mustang and I were going back and forth. Somehow the conversation turned to sex. He was an older guy and I was telling him stuff like someone would have to supply a crash cart (medical cart that has resuscitation equipment on it) to bring him back to life for his own safety. Anywho, as I'm looking at this thread unfolding, I'm like how the hell did I get into this and how do I get out of it.

I pretty much do everything I can to avoid that kind of interaction.

Since you understood my response, I hope you took it as a well thought out compliment. You have done an amazing job over the years at avoiding posting things that could be misconstrued and/or manipulated in such a way. I was catching you off guard that ONE.......RARE......TIME. My style of sincere respect for a great poster that I have interacted with for a very long time. 👊
