Average American vs. “Poor” American

I used to think I was rich, but then..
I realized I'm probably average, but then...
I realized I'm a poor.

I don't own many materialistic things. Very little. All excess money gets invested.
My cabinets and refrigerator only have what I'm eating this week.

I never realized how poor I am. I don’t even have a VCR or an answering machine. I might have a blue ray player out in the shed,

At 21 I had to have military creases in my uniform for the sheriff's department and you are correct it is much cheaper than dry cleaners. I'd have them do my new uniforms once and I'd follow their lines.

Plus I used extra starch, that way the sleeves were sharp as a razor blade if someone tried to grab ahold of the sleeves.😁
