World Cup in the USA

Haven't watched a single second of soccer (of course). The best part by a mile has been seeing all the Europeans discover America. No not NYC or LA but America.....and be shocked by it. Shocked by how nice many things are for most Americans, shocked to discover that no, American food is not in fact all McDonald's. Shocked to see with their own eyes how much their media has been lying to them about America.

In many cases they've come to the heart of "backward", "racist", "redneck", Trump supporting red state America and been blown away to discover the food is good, its overwhelmingly clean, the people are friendly and get along with one another and welcome visitors, its quite safe, and the standard of living is quite high. The standard lies told on the Beeb and the state broadcasters in various European countries are going to be even harder to get anybody to believe now.
