Sounds like a great Sunday....... I was bitching about having to work these 7 straight earlier, but I take that all back since the rain started at 1am this morning.

I offer no excuses, just vindication of Hank Jr's lyric "hangovers hurt more than they used to". 😜 Back in the day a twelve pack wasn't enough to get me to the county line for more beer … now it is more than enough to get me to the ER. It's not the age nearly as much as the mileage.

Back in the day, we had went on many a beer run to the county line that lasted three days. We would drive straight to the beer store … Jerry's .. and come back via "the dark side of the moon" which was dirt roads through the mines. Many of nights were spent passed out in the back of a truck and most of the time we would come back without socks and occasionally with a back pocket missing from our jeans. A couple of trips to Jerry's ended after a spontaneous detour through the Florida panhandle.

That's normally a third day evolution, first the socks, then the T-shirt, and then the non Skoal pocket. Nobody wants to risk a day four pinecone with the beer shits, but it has happened. I am just glad that my younger days were in the pre cellphone with camera days. You can't fix stupid, but you could temporarily hide it in the woods of central Alabama.
