Their General Manager and Manager have been suspended for the 2020 season, they lose their 1st and 2nd Round Draft picks for 2020 and 2021, and have a $5,000,000 fine to pay. However, they still get to keep their 2017 World Series Championship despite the apparent cheating that caused these ramifications in the first place along with their 2019 American League Championship and 2017, 2018 and 2019 AL West Championships.

Say what you will about the NCAA, but Louisville Men's Basketball still doesn't get to officially celebrate their 2013 National Championship.

The Astros have fired both the suspended General Manager and Manager.

So the question is......will MLB suspend both of their replacements for 2020? I mean the suspension was to punish the entire program, right?

I would like to see MLB declare that for the next five post seasons that Houston qualifies, they lose one home game/series/round. Make the punishment fit the crime plus hurt the front office from a revenue standpoint and give their opponents an advantage.

And that’s a great idea.

MLB won't exact a postseason automatic loss for monetary reasons. They don't want that affecting their own bottom line.

I was not suggesting an automatic loss, but rather if they are in a best of five series with home field advantage, they get 2 home games in stead of three. If they don't have home field advantage then they would have only one home game instead of two.

Ah, well in that case that could work. Then again, the Astros were only able to win World Series games on the road in 2019 so they might not see that as such a bad thing.

It appears we're now getting rumbling of wire usage by at least one of the players.

That presser was not good for the Astros, just bad PR. Everyone said sorry, but said it didn’t affect the game, yet they continued to do it. Claims punishment would be an unfair burden to current team (many of which benefited).

Almost every punishment unfairly affects someone...if my neighbor is a serial killer and gets locked up, his house becomes a taboo place, gets foreclosed on, and weirdos will forever show up to take selfies...sucks for me and my property value, but you still gotta lock the dude up.
