Your dinner tonight?

Low Carbing huh,, I've struggled with weight for a long time.. and thats the only diet I have lost serious weight with. Problem is,, I usually get off the diet a some point and weight comes back. Good Luck to you..

I did as well, so I made a few changes to the diet … instead of trying to get into the keto phase and rapidly lose weight, start off with the maintenance part of the diet and modify it slightly to allow for your lifestyle. It is a lot easier to maintain the diet and when you stray … and we all stray … it is not like you have to start over with a restrictive plan to induce the weight loss. Hope that helps if you are still trying to lose weight.

If moving to a Keto diet, it's real important to cut out the carbs. The whole idea of ketosis is that your body uses fat as an energy source rather than carbs (as it normally does). Eating too many carbs, more than say 30 grams per day or so, while on a high fat diet will likely end up in weight gain.

What I am saying is that I took a different approach to the diet for a couple of reasons. First of all, if you cannot keep to the maintenance phase of the diet then the whole point of entering the keto phase is moot. IMHO determining if you can make the lifestyle choices needed for the end phase of a diet should be tested before you go to the weight loss phase, lest you just yoyo your weight which is unhealthy. Also the keto phase also raises the acidity of your blood which can have some serious consequences.

Type 2 diabetes is also prevalent in our society and I am hypoglycemic so extreme carb limiting is a serious threat to me. I spent over a week in ICU when I was initially diagnosed with diabetic ketoacidosis … initial blood sugar was over 700 and A1C was well over 9(I want to say double digits at one point, but really cant remember). When I was discharged, my glucose level was averaging about 300 and my blood was still acidic. Now I am not on any medicine and have normal range A1C. A large part of that was diet, I adapted the maintenance phase of Adkins so that I would not be in the keto phase but be able to maintain my weight and then just increased my activity level slightly to make up the difference and induce weight loss.

I bought some frozen Cod filets at publix and plan to saute them in evoo seasoned with salt n pepper.. Baked asparagus drizzled with olive oil and also seasoned with salt n pepper..

KFC original recipe $5 fill up thighs with mashed, biscuit and cookie. Been eating that for 40 + years. Some things you can't improve on...

Was it $5 40 years ago?

I ask because I was 13 then.

First time I ever had KFC was after I joined the USMC. (<< I shit you not.) There wasn't one close to our home and we rarely went out to eat because we were too poor for such luxuries.
