You know I’m obsessive compulsive about some things. I can’t co-exist with him as my seething, simmering resentment would only fester. Hence, I’d rather just not be here, if he is. And I don’t want to be responsible for his bouncing, especially if some here genuinely DO like him. I didn’t want him INVITED. Hard to put the milk back up the udder. Given I’m the one who did wrong, if it’s truly a him versus me, I should be the one sent packing. So, I guess I don’t see it as him driving me from the board, so much as me saying for everyones sake, his, mine and the groups, I’ll play cards at a different table.

Let's take a good look at some of the statements:

First things first. What I said last night was vile, and evil, inexcusable, and I am legitimately, honest ashamed of myself. Peter, for whatever it is worth, and, I expect nothing, you have my sincere apologies. And I assure you, my blood boils typing that out

As much as it kills me, again, I am sorry.

Damn, why even offer an apology when you qualified everything you said.

Second

As for slim "pandering" about PG taking the high ground, he did take the high ground while you were unmercifully pounding him about a dead child. And slim should know a bit about taking the high ground after moron attacked his children on Rivals & he reacted calmly. Was he "pandering" because YOU didn't like that he complimented Peter on not responding at the time?

Yeah, I'm sure you would like Purple Foliage to come back. Then the little group can get together, purposefully exclude people, then laugh & deride them behind their back. Yes, many of us who were excluded read what was said about us. And forget the casual response of "oh, we didn't mean it, we were just having fun". Many things that were said hurt then when we read them, still hurt today.

Notre Dame. Damn, all this angst about a building. Yes, many of us mourn what happened to it but it can and will be rebuilt. Too sad that Peter's daughter can't be. A building...over a building. Lord, we better hope nothing happens to the Vatican.

So it's not in your nature to put someone on ignore. Well, do we need to get a list of all the people you don't like so we can dismiss them from here because you don't like them & won't put them on ignore? Shall we extend that courtesy to everyone or is it just for you?

I spoke up here (about page 12 in the ITT thread) about maybe being a bit more cautious & selective about who was let in and got a lecture in return.

Peace by controlling the world you live in is not peace. Do you, though. I defend your right to not have to deal with folks that disagree with you.

Good luck seeking Shangri la. In the meantime, the rest of us understand reality and don't seek a world that does nothing but satisfy our own greed

I'm sorry, @Toadman005 you've been going through a lot of personal issues, tragedy & woes. I hate to see anyone going through pain. But maybe it IS time for you to step away from boards & get some help for this overriding anger you have toward some people. I've found breaks to sometimes be exactly what is needed to find a center again.

One of us? Each & everyone "one of us" came to the boards separately & were slowly accepted by some, not at all by others.

I guess if I like Peter or some of the guys from hoopla, I'm not "one of you" either.

Not trying for “self aggrandizing crap” BG. What, you only ever apologize when you’re cheerful? I’m a proud person, I do not like admitting when I’m wrong, but I DO it. I was wrong. But it was still hard to say, given my resentment of the guy. But I felt it important to do so, because I DO regret it. That doesn’t change my feelings towards him.



Second…I was talking about PG pandering. Not RTR...USN (ret). He and I actually did discuss it, in private. As for the rest, I don’t even get what you’re going for. I get you’re livid, but that feels like a straw man. I do not deny he took the high road Monday night. I maintain it was disingenuous. Still made it better than what I ddi though.

Your disrespectful opinion (in my eyes) is noted. In my opinion the loss of a priceless monument is a great tragedy, and no, it cannot be rebuilt, any more than his daughter can be revived. It can be replaced , and might in my great grandchildren’s time, but the actual monument that existed for hundreds of years was destroyed.



He was the only person I flat out asked not be invited here. I respected the opinions of anyone that threw out names or disagreed with my invite suggestions. But by your logic, fuck it, lets invite star scream, janty, buford, and thunder.

Hell, you can't even apologize for the comments on Purple Menace w/o backhanding it. That apology is worth about the same as something I flushed a few minutes ago.

Reminds me of the criminal who says they are sorry...after they are caught. Wonder if you would have even made your half hearted apologies if I hadn't called you out on your behavior.

You need a break & you need to get some help. Please, find your center again because this incredibly angry, almost incoherent person is someone I don't recognize.
