What about this guy?

6"5 and 432LbsMeet Desmond Watson, AKA Florida's new 432-pound wrecking ball of a defensive tackleConnor O'Gara | 1 day ago

Whether he’s busting through a double team or front-squatting 375 pounds with ease, it doesn’t take very long to spot Desmond Watson. Scroll through the program at whatever game he’s playing in and he’s sure to make one pause. Watch a routine practice of Watson’s and you’ll find yourself watching his every move.
Well, he’s up a bit from the 375-380 pounds he played at during his senior year at Armwood High School in suburban Tampa. Florida fans didn’t take long to become familiar with the true freshman. The early enrollee already made quite the impression on his new team in spring practice, and not just because he’s a fun-loving, 432-pound guy rocking No. 21 (he also wore that number in high school). Dan Mullen said “thankfully we have the equipment to even weigh (Watson) right there up at 440″ and that Watson will need to lose a “12- or 13-year old” to get in the right type of playing shape (via the Gainesville Sun).
Watson could theoretically lose 75 pounds and still be heavier than Stewart Reese, who is the second-biggest player on Florida’s roster at 350 pounds. Even against his fellow Florida linemen, Watson’s size is impossible not to notice

That takes "How big a boy are you?" to a whole new level. I bet he runs about as fast as a concrete block, though.

Brigham Young had a recruit like that. Not too long ago. Not sure what happened. He was huge and probably I'll suited to football.

How could you forget this one Mr. BYU historian???

"Meanwhile, Langi was a 17-year-old employee of a pig farm on Tongatapu, the largest of Tonga's 169 islands. He'd just finished a five-day football camp near his home, led by Moore and Mone Angilau, a former high school player, but Langi thought little of his performance. By then, the teenager weighed about 400 pounds, and despite a frame that would put most professional linemen to shame, he'd never touched a football before the camp. "

I cant find where he ever saw the playing field though.

I'm not a historian. If you want to know what I'm good at, since there seems to be a lot of confusion, possibly my own creation. I take other people's figures, apply a statistical revision to accrue a target I hope more appropriately represents the truth of the matter. I never said I was a historian. I said I know something about tye the condition of what a championship ideally ought to be. I even quantified it but apparently everyone here thinks I have my head up my ass.

We continue to win some recruiting battles:
.
Kentucky’s 2022 recruiting class has a new pledge.
Andre Stewart announced his commitment to Mark Stoops’ Wildcats on Friday night. The Snellville (Georgia) Brookwood cornerback was a former Auburn pledge but reopened his recruitment in January. Stewart is listed at 6-feet, 169 pounds and rated 3-stars, the No. 37 cornerback, No. 38 Georgia product and No. 406 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite.
Stewart has picked up 26 total scholarship offers during his recruitment, including Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee.

WAY too early, but that PennSt at 7 is eye catching.
Success breeds success. It shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that Penn State is among the better places to recruit to. I attended Colorado. Boulder. It was a successful recruiting location when I went. My thinking is if you have the right culture it makes it easier to sell your program. Karl Dorrell is the head coach at Colorado. He previously coached U.C.L.A. football. He wasn't who I hoped they'd hire. I was hoping Colorado would hire Taggart. Dorrell was an assistant coach at Miami. Vance Joseph might have been a better choice. I'm not much into politicing but Taggart seemed better suited to the position to me. F.W.I.W.

Georgia picks up a commitment from 5-star Maliki Starks.

Malaki Starks commitment generates big reaction from Georgia coaches, fans (dawgnation.com)

With Starks in the class, the Bulldogs shoot up to the No. 2 overall class in the 2022 rankings, behind only Ohio State. The Bulldogs now have nine commitments, with eight of them coming from Georgia. Starks comes from Jefferson, Ga.
Just keep saving us some left-overs from GA. Geez...

"Quentel Jones has multiple SEC schools after him right now, and Kentucky has recently jumped into the equation.

Jones, who is listed as a three-star defensive tackle and a top 60 player from the state of Georgia by both 247 Sports and Rivals, announced on Monday through Twitter that he had received a scholarship offer from Wildcat defensive line coach Anwar Stewart. Kentucky is one of the most recent to reach out among the 20 offers for the 6-3, 285-pound class of 2022 high school junior, and one of five from Southeastern Conference programs.

Joining the UK on Jones’ offer sheet are the likes of Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt, along with Oregon, Wisconson, Miami (FL), and a few other smaller schools."

Dude, check your roster. UK is doing great at recruiting Georgia. The state produces over 100 D1 players most years. Dawgs aren't allowed to get them all.

4-star LB Jalon Walker commits to UGA.

Jalon Walker: Georgia lands commitment from 4-star 2022 linebacker (dawgnation.com)

SALISBURY, NC – All-American LB Jalon Walker checks all the boxes for an architect of any championship-aspiring defense in America. He even has a few unique boxes to his story.

  • Outstanding 4.0 student who has a promising college future outside of athletics
  • His life’s path will involve his lifelong goal of becoming an orthodontist after football
  • Explosive athlete who excelled at basketball and even won a dunk contest at his school as a freshman
  • Son of a Division II college football head coach at Catawba College
  • Named to the Under Armour All-American game for 2022
  • Ranks as the nation’s No. 4 OLB and the No. 50 overall recruit on the 247Sports Composite ratings
  • Plans to enroll early
  • Definite makeup of a future team captain (See Nakobe Dean, Azeez Ojulari, D’Andre Swift and Andrew Thomas)
In what could be termed as at least a moderate upset, he committed to Georgia over Clemson and North Carolina on Sunday from a small ceremony at St. John’s Church in his hometown. Walker also carried a final six which also included Alabama, Auburn and Ohio State.

Walker makes this decision just three days after the Bulldogs got a big recruiting win by pulling 5-star ATH Malaki Starks out of a tough battle with those same Clemson Tigers. Starks became the third-highest rated commitment in the Georgia class. Walker is now the fourth-highest rated recruit in the class.

If we’re being honest, we cannot ignore the timing of those two decisions this week. These two young men seem like anchor commits for this class both on and off the field. Especially for any championship-level defense.

I could be wrong, but I see a few decommits happening later in the year when "official visits" are allowed. I mean it looks good on paper, but it don't count until you got a signature.

It's early and decommitments are inevitable but I don't see those classes completely falling apart.

Definitely not. Just because a player decommits, doesn't mean he won't re-commit later. It's kinda like breaking up with your girlfriend before you date someone else. You very well could go back and marry her later, once you've found out for sure that she was the right one. With the way the commits recruit other players to their class these days, I wouldn't be surprised to see as many as 6 5-stars in UGA's 2022 class. tOSU will still be right there in December, as well. Of course, Bama will come on strong later like they always do. I honestly haven't looked at how it's going for Oregon lately. What do you expect?

Oregon has 8 commits at this point, with 6 of them being 4 stars. They don't have many top guys committed at this time. There's still a lot of time and lot of their top targets still on the board, however.

Cristobal is a helluva recruiter and he's done a great job of hiring good position coaches that are also great recruiters. I'm confident you'll continue to se better and better classes over the next few years. I'm really looking forward to that game next year. It will be a litmus test for both teams, for sure.
