UGA adds high 3-star OL, Jacob Hood out of Nashville, TN to move up to 3rd in team rankings on 247Composite. Hood is a 6'8" 342lb monster of a man. His size and length give him the opportunity to eventually play left tackle. Most importantly, UGA's OL Coach Matt Luke kept him away from Florida and Tennessee. Sometimes you go after guys just to keep them away from an opponent.

To bad his position requires someone to throw the ball close to him.

Everything I've read says he really liked UGA but his family wanted him close to home (They are all Mizzou fans). It's hard to go against family. I honestly wish him the best. Dude is a beast and deserves the opportunity to showcase his ability for the NFL. If you go back and look at his HS highlights, he's a man amongest boys at the highest classification in high school football in the nation. He originally committed to Oklahoma, but that was apparently WAY to far from home. I won't begrudge his decision because I'm confident he will shine somehow wherever he is. That said, I agree with you. He is too talented to get overlooked at a mediocre Mizzou. He should go to a perennial top team to get as much exposure as possible. It could make a difference of millions of dollars when it's his turn to get drafted. Sad that his family put their desires ahead of his future. And I'd always say that about any player of his talent level, regardless of where they choose to play.

Missouri is doing really well on the trail for this class. Not a great season on the field so far but the future is bright if that doesn't derail this class.

Drinkwitz is fun to watch. He's talking a big game and is showing to be a pretty good recruiter, but his results on the field leave something to be desired. Remember that he had 1 season at AppSt and it was successful because of what he inherited from Scott Satterfield.

Make the bleeding stop!

Tell you what, give us Coach Lanning in return and we will call it even.

I won't lie. Southern Cal is on the short list of teams that I think Lanning would or should consider. He's gonna be a beast of a head coach wherever he lands. I don't like to think about losing him, but I know it's inevitable. I just hope he stays at UGA until he gets the right offer from the right team. Wherever that he ends up I want it to be a place that fits him, his family, and his beliefs.
