As a fan that isn't against ND joining a conference for the fun that it would be for them to compete for conference titles and to make a more routine and dependable schedule.

When I look at all the reputable rankings for SoS and SoR for ND this season. Both was in the top 3rd of D1. And there is no denying they started 0-2.

Why do people say they need a conference? Their 12 game schedule and predicted results will be as good as anticipated teams in the lower half of the bracket.

Nobody truly wants ND in a conference anymore, Y'all aint conference material, they are tired of your BS and have accepted it. How is that ND Network coming along now?

With the SEC going to 9 CG schedules, every four years you will play at least 7 teams that played in a national championship game in the last 25 years, and each one of them has played in multiple national championship games. If you want to play the elite every year ...

Because as long as ND is independent, their playoff path depends too much on perception. One loss hits harder when you don't have a conference title game to balance it out. A 12-1 ND with no conference win looks weaker than a 12-1 SEC or Big Ten champ.

But does a 1 loss ND look any worse than the dozen teams that finish the regular season between 3rd and 4th in the P4 conferences?

It hurts their chance at getting the top tier seed. But I don't see any reason they can't be competitive for the 5th seed. Thats still a home game against what should be a team on paper they are better than.

I think ND has a shot every year at the playoffs not being in the two super conferences ( SEC or B1G). Yall are sitting pretty, It would be stupid join a either and the ACC is beneath ND. The Big12 lol... There are two super conferences, and the the ACC is becoming the new mid major.
