I have no idea. TBH I have given up on trying to understand the "behind doors" actions of my team's power brokers. Should he be fired for cheating on his wife? No. Should he be fired for hiring someone that he is having an affair with? Absolutely. Actions like that put the whole university in a legally precarious situation and should not be tolerated. I like CBH and actually think he did a good job last season given the situation he walked into.

Pretty bad it seems. They released a statement today. Reads like they're really looking at a "for cause"

“The Auburn administration is judiciously collecting information from a variety of perspectives, including our student-athletes, and moving swiftly to understand any issues in accordance with university policies and procedures,” the statement read. “Decisions regarding the future of Auburn and its athletics programs, as always, are made in the interests of our great university and in fairness to all concerned. We do not make institutional decisions based on social media posts or media headlines.”
